LINEAR SKETCHES

Based on the research of human space, human consciousness and material life, MMR Studio tries to reopen these spaces through furniture design, so that intimate emotions flow out of the “black box”. “Linear sketch” has currently launched four modules, which are connected by the interlocking of corrugated surfaces and supported by the I-shaped combination of lines and surfaces, presenting an open space block. The linearity makes the division of space more flexible, and draws on the groove shape of the washboard, a form of strong embedded space, which provides an ambiguous and transparent space for the intersection of different lines, thus breaking away from the purely functional and social narrative. Appeals no longer exist for the needs of some kind of production and desire, but because of existence itself, it provides a sketch-like poetic space.
