ABOUT DESIGNER

张忠宇，产品设计师，英国皇家艺术学院产品设计硕士，目前生活和工作于上海。作品曾于英国伦敦设计节，法国巴黎设计周，设计上海，深圳时尚家居设计周等展出。她的实践主要围绕在对现象材料的文化追踪和类型学处理，结合当代城市文化生活，以产品设计为研究手段呈现。

Zhongyu Zhang , Product Designer, Master of Design Products, Royal College of Art, UK, currently lives and works in Shanghai. Her works have been exhibited at the London Design Festival in the UK, Paris Design Week in France, and Shenzhen Design Week. Her practice mainly revolves around the cultural tracking and typological processing of phenomenal materials, combined with contemporary urban cultural life, and presented through product design as a research method.

经过记忆的河流

passing by the river of memories

记忆中，
时间的感知发生了变化，
事情的原委也变得模糊，
我们以碎片感知时间的重量。
我们经过记忆密布的河流，
却难以真正地踏入它。

MMR STUDIO was founded by designer Zhongyu Zhang in Shanghai(2021). Zhang's design practice decodes the memories of everyday life from three perspectives: materials, modality and routine, to trace back various cultures and establish the emotional connection between contemporary life and the "primal scene".

When we talk about memories,
the perception changes,
the details of stories get lost,
and the weight of time fragments.
Imagine passing by a river full of memories,
but none of us ever step into it.
